Rob helps accountants, businesses and individuals on federal and state tax related matters. He has more than 30 years’ tax advising experience and works closely with accountants and their clients helping them to obtain the best possible tax outcome. He looks for practical and innovative solutions and often has helped save tax for his clients using ideas from ‘left field’.

Rob has a particular interest in liaising and negotiating with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and State Revenue Office (SRO) in assisting clients resolve their tax disputes. For example, in one case not only did the SRO withdraw a very large land tax assessment but also agreed to pay part of the client’s legal fees. Rob has also had great success in obtaining favourable private rulings from both the ATO and SRO for clients.

Rob is a sought after speaker due to his clear and easy to understand style and has written and presented many practical papers at conferences. He has represented professional associations and taxpayers on ATO and Treasury tax consultation committees.
